Real shame
I’m updating this to 2 stars.
Here’s the deal. You start out and learn to play. You can play all court, just like tennis. You figure it out, know the movement, the physics, etc. It’s fun. And the physics are awesome.
Then you get to play the “superstars”. None of what you’ve learned applies. Forget it.
If you want to beat the superstars here’s how.
Move into no mans land, halfway between the service line and the baseline. Do this right away, after serving and returning serve. Play your groundstrokes from there. Actually you’re no longer playing groundstrokes, it’s now half volleys and swinging volleys. Then try to move forward from there after 2 to 3 shots. Keep moving forward and get all over the net. You have to smother the net to get good angles because otherwise, them being “super”, they’re going to run them down.
So yeah, it’s more fun in the beginning because you can play it like tennis. The superstars is nothing like tennis because no one would play in no man’s land, but you have to to beat them. Once you forget tennis strategy and play this strategy you can beat them regularly.
